Tuscany Valley view of Medieval village of Massa
Artist
Trudi Doyle
Medium
Painting - Watercolour
Description
Painting in watercolour of the Medieval village of Massa completed en plein air on one of my day trips which I organised during my annual panting holiday to Montecatini, Tuscany.
Tuscany is known for its landscapes, traditions, history, artistic legacy and its permanent influence on high culture.
It is regarded as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and has been home to many influential figures in the history of art and science.
As a result, the region boasts museums such as the Uffizi and the Pitti Palace in Florence. Tuscany is famous for its wines, including the well-known Chianti.
Seven Tuscan localities have been designated World Heritage Sites.
