Description

Acrylic painting "Daisy Chain" an idyllic garden scene with a red haired girl day dreaming and relaxing among the flowers, a completed daisy chain entwined in her fingers.The painting was inspired by my daughter and my wild garden ;- sun is shining, the garden is full of life and colour, sunflowers,poppies green shrubs with Aylesbury ducks foraging in the undergrowth and swallows swooping above..
The original painting has been sold.
I am honoured that it now hangs in the corridor of a new secondary school ( high school ) in Carlow, Ireland .
The school is very progressive and the pupils are taught through the medium of the Irish language. This is unusual because although taught in all schools -Irish or Gaelic our native language is not the first language of Ireland due to the predominance of English .
