"In the Bluebell Wood " acrylic on canvas .
As the light fresh green leaves emerge in the woodland, nature produces a carpet of blue underfoot which is a delight to the senses . This artwork was painted on commission for a lady who taught me in school when I was only 6 and 7 years old. She was the first teacher to encourage me in my artwork by giving me a gift of a book on drawing.
She got in touch with me after she had retired from teaching. This was a joyfull peice of work for me as I had such lovely memories of my childhood days as her pupil, many, many years ago.
