This watercolour "Owl Whisperer" is a detail from my painting " Peacable Kingdom no.2 " This is the second in the series of metaphorical watercolour painting of organic shapes and forms depicting humans and animals, flora and fauna transcending physical barriers and differences living together in peace and harmony, the painting includes many birds, animals and human images.
* * * * The most famous of "Peaceable Kingdom "paintings were produced by American folk painter Edward Hicks ( 1780 -1849) a distinguished minister of the Society of Friends, who became a Quaker icon because of his paintings. Hicks depicted humans and animals to represent the idea of breaking down differences between individuals to working and living together in peace.
