Landscape with clouds warning of summer rain approaching. Acrylic painting of a country trail -laneway, pastures and the Wicklow mountains in the far distance. Part of my series of work both Acrylic and Watercolour based on daily observation of this beautiful landscape. .
The constantly changing skies and light in Ireland provide endless inspiration and a daily walk with my dogs on this lovely isolated lane gives me an opportunity to observe the various shades of blues, purples and greens
I have painted this scene many times and never tire of its beauty and variety.
I live in this ares which is on the border of two counties ;Wicklow and Carlow. Wicklow is known as the "Garden of Ireland" because of its striking mountain terrain, its wild boglands, its forested uplands, its lush cultivated farmland and the many private parklands and gardens,
