Based on a childhood memory. I grew up in the countryside in Ireland at the base of Eagle hill, Hacketstown in South East Ireland . -This laneway was surrounded by farm pastures and was bordered by wild shrubs and trees and was our playground where we received an education on the passing seasons, wildlife , flora and fauna. There were several old cottages along the lane some delerlict -some still occupied and as children we visited them and chatted with the elderly occupants and learned about their lives as they once were- an interesting history lesson.!
I live in beautiful Ireland .I am inspired by mythology,memories, dreams, whimsical flights of fancy and by nature's beauty - with all it's related moods, My work is varied, sometimes abstract, often surreal.. As well as painting and exhibiting, I tutor art in Europe; Italy/ Tuscany and France.
