Description
Watercolor painting of a summer day near my home in Ireland, the beautiful Wicklow Mountains in the distance and the many shades of green in the fields and trees and the blue and lavender in the distant landscape. Part of my series of work both Acrylic and Watercolour based on daily observation of this beautiful landscape. .
The constantly changing skies and light in Ireland provide endless inspiration and a daily walk with my dogs gives me an opportunity to observe the various shades of blues, purples and greens in the fields and mountains.
I have painted this scene many times and never tire of its beauty and variety.
I live in this part of Ireland which is on the border of two counties, Wicklow and Carlow. Wicklow is known as the "Garden of Ireland" because of its striking mountain terrain, its wild boglands, its forested uplands, its lush cultivated farmland and the many private parklands and gardens,
