Winter is here and snow covers the landscape on this laneway near my home in Wicklow. Ireland .
This Acrylic painting of the snowcovered laneway,pastures and the Wicklow mountains in the far distance is part of my series of work both Acrylic and Watercolour based on daily observation of this beautiful landscape. .
The constantly changing skies and light in Ireland provide endless inspiration and a daily walk with my dogs( even in winter )on this lovely isolated lane gives me an opportunity to observe it in all its moods.
I have painted this scene many times and never tire of its beauty and variety.
This area is on the border of two counties, Wicklow and Carlow.
