Description
An Irish Landscape in Oils on canvas entitled "Moody Sky over Eagle Hill" - the constantly changing sky provides endless inspiration. I have used an expressionist style to convey my intense attachment to this landscape near my birthplace. This hill is bounded by a laneway surrounded by farm pastures and bordered by wild shrubs and trees and was my playground where I recieved an education on the passing seasons, wildlife , flora and fauna.
(Interestingly Elvis had Hacketstown connections, William Presley who lived near Eagle hill, Hacketstown, as I did, emigrated from Ireland to the United States back in 1775. It has come to light that he decided he would move three thousand plus miles away across the Atlantic. William's descendant was none other than the King of Rock n Roll, himself, Elvis Presley.)

Amazing colours and technique. And the description is so interesting too. I guess I will have to go to Eagle Hill during my next trip to Ireland... hopefully soon!
