Inspired by the Irish wildflower 'Bog Cotton',- as its name might suggest it is a plant which grows in very damp peaty ground. When it is in fruit it becomes a very eye-catching and attractive plant, little seeds are held in fluffy, downy, white tufts which quiver and shake in the wind and are blown about - a most effective dispersal method !
